Mildew where the sun doesn’t reach
On narrow Village lots, side yards and north-facing walls barely see direct sun, and the marine layer keeps them damp most mornings. That’s where the green and black streaks start, on stucco, painted wood and under eaves. A soft wash kills that growth at the root instead of just blasting the surface, so it takes longer to come back.
Salt film on the ocean side
On the bluff above the beaches, ocean-facing walls, trim and black aluminum frames gather a dull, slightly gritty salt film. It looks like the paint is fading, but often it’s just buildup. Washing it off can bring back the color you thought you’d lost.
Gentle on new builds and old cottages
CdM has original cottages with painted wood and trim next to brand-new modern homes with smooth stucco and large frames. High pressure can scar or lift any of them. We use low pressure and the correct solution, protect plantings and work carefully in tight side yards and near neighbors.
