Why ocean-view glass gets dirty so fast
Salt air leaves a haze that you see most when the sun is low over the water. Morning marine layer settles on the glass, mixes with dust and dries into a film. Lower panes facing the garden often have hard-water spots from sprinkler overspray, since Orange County tap water is mineral-heavy.
Tap water leaves its own minerals behind, which is why a garden-hose rinse turns into spots. We finish with pure water, which has the minerals filtered out, so the glass dries clear.
What’s included
We clean both sides of the glass, plus the tracks, screens and sills, where sand and salt collect and make sliders stick. Oversized panes and two- and three-story glass are handled with the right equipment for the height. We also treat hard-water spots. Mineral etching that has gone deep into the glass may not come out completely, and we’ll tell you before we start if that’s the case.
How often to clean windows
Coastal homes collect salt, dust and organic growth quickly. Most clients keep windows on a monthly or quarterly plan and schedule a full house wash annually. On a maintenance plan you get scheduled visits, no re-quoting and priority scheduling.
